New York Fashion Week doesn't really seem complete without a look at the latest and greatest from Marc Jacobs, and what better way to see his latest show than through the eyes of our FOK (and blogger extraordinaire), Bryanboy. While we followed Bryan through an entire day at Fashion Week last season, this time around, Bryan took us to the front row with him and gave us his take on MJ's spring/summer 2012 collection.

Read on for Bryanboy's perspective on the show, and check out his personal photos above for your own front row access.

Yesterday evening's Marc Jacobs show was quite a production. For seven minutes, the New York State Armory on Lexington Avenue was transformed into a magical stage set inspired by Southern dance halls -- gold lamé curtains, chairs, beams decorated with light bulbs and a wooden runway.

Marc's spring/summer 2012 collection was an exercise in texture and translucency. I wanted to feel the garments with my own hands. I love how he played with different materials such as organza, plastic, pailettes and silicone (those crocodile-embossed jackets are divine). His take on the gingham print was also sweet.

My personal must-have? I saw this delightful fluorescent pistachio green sweater in a fabric that felt as if it was a mix between neoprene and cashmere. It felt smooth to the skin when I touched it backstage.

For accessory lovers out there, most of the bags were cute, fringey clutches, bowling-inspired and bucket-shaped with wide handles which looked oh-so-effortless.

After witnessing a stampede of prints from, not one, not two, but many designers on the runways this season, Marc's show punctuated New York Fashion Week on a high note.

  • What You Missed From Our Bryanboy Livestream

Launching a livestream of Bryanboy during Fashion Week has its pros and cons. While it's a genius idea in theory and the perfect week to find the blogger in his fabulous element, it's also the week when most people who would care about watching a Bryanboy livestream are too busy to do so. So busy in fact, that even stealing away moments to procrastinate during your lunch break is impossible, because well, you probably didn't get a lunch break. So without rambling on further, this post is dedicated to those who missed out on the sheer silliness the first time around. You didn't think we would do a livestream without recording all the best moments, did you? Pour yourself a glass of Kanon, and enjoy!

  • OH MY GOD. We're Livestreaming Bryanboy for Fashion Week!

For those who hung out with us during last Fashion Week, you probably saw Bryanboy on our blog in all of his head-to-toe leopard glory working his hypothetical catwalk, hair flip and all. Well, ladies and gents...he's back. In real time. On February 16, starting at 9 AM, watch Bryanboy as he becomes the first blogger to be livestreamed for the web right here on Kanonvodka.com. That deserves a pretty big, OMG, right? Might have to get a cocktail ready for this one, people. Who knows what he'll do.

  • Bryanboy: Fashion Week Drink Schedule

    25_the_last_magazine_37

You may not believe it, but fashion week is hard work. No, we don’t mean the constant hustle to grab taxis and get to shows on time; we mean the constant hustle of drinking and not sleeping. Fashion week is neither relaxing nor for that matter, dry. FOK (Friend of Kanon) Bryan Boy knows all about all these things, he was an omnipresent force in New York for a good 8 days straight. Keeping in mind that it’s rude to turn down a backstage champagne cocktail, while also kind of rude to look like a complete pile of garbage, Bryan Boy fixed us up his fashion week drink schedule for all needs and occasions.

    Breakfast:

Wake up and start with freshly squeezed grapefruit or orange juice. A boost of vitamin C is the secret for erasing the sins of last night.

Eat a big hotel breakfast full of dare I say…carbs, you need energy!

On the way, out grab a hot Genmaicha green tea with vanilla almond or organic soy milk and a half spoon of organic sugar (optional). A good dose of caffeine that will minimize the jitters.  OR for more vitamins, a cup of freshly juiced Cantaloupe Carrot Juice is so healthy and yummy.

    Now you’re on your way....

    Arrival Back Stage:

    Spicy Bloody Mary:

BATCH MIX- serves an entire runway of 12 looks

    32 oz tomato juice

    1 clove garlic

    ¼ cup horseradish

4 tbs Pick a Pepper sauce

    2 tsp Dijon mustard

    ¼ cup fresh dill

    1 tbs black pepper

    4 tbp Worchester sauce

    1 tsp celery salt

    ½ cup lemon juice

    blend in a blender

    Add 2 oz Kanon Vodka

And 3 oz Bloody Mary mix serve with long stalk of fresh celery

Eat that celery with your drink!

No more drinks for a few hours--after the show only a few sips to toast allowed and in the meantime drink sparkling water with lots of lemon or lime--this will keep you clean, hydrated and full of vitamin C.

    DURING THE SHOW sip water!

AFTER THE SHOW BACKSTAGE you will be sipping champagne cocktails for sure; here are some of my favorites:

    Earl Grey Sparkle

    1 oz Kanon Organic Vodka

    .5 oz lemon juice

1 oz Earl Grey Tea syrup (2 parts strong brewed Earl Grey tea and 1 part sugar, chilled)

topped with dry champagne and a lemon twist

    Passionfruit Mimosa

    1 oz Kanon Organic Vodka

    1 oz Passionfruit puree

topped with 4 oz dry champagne

NAP TIME 5p-7p: Some days may be tough to get in a full 2 hours, but the secret to drinking is sleeping and rehydrating!

    Chamomile Orange Blossom Tea

    1 oz Kanon Organic Vodka

    3 oz hot chamomile tea

    squeeze of fresh lemon wedge

    1 spoon honey

    1 drop orange blossom water

and close your eyes for 2 hours!

If you don’t have time for a nap...Place a few drops of lavender oil on a cool damp cloth and place them over your eyes sit and breath deeply for 5-15 minutes.

Wake and drink a bottle of unsweetened coconut water.

    Back out and about!

    Green Tea Colada

    2 oz Kanon Organic Vodka

2 tbs Green tea macha powder

    1 oz pineapple juice

    1 oz coconut milk

shake very well with ice and top with whipped cream and a slice of fresh pineapple

    After dinner:

    Almond Coffee

    2 oz Kanon Organic Vodka

    3 oz hot espresso

    1 oz Orgeat (almond syrup)

Now you’re ready to party and drink Kanon all night long!

    BUT Before bed:

1 glass of freshly squeezed watermelon juice and take 1 multi vitamin and drink a big glass of water, so you can do it all again tomorrow!

Of course, FOK guest blogger Bryanboy has access to the coolest shows during New York Fashion Week. Here, his photos of the scene.

Fashion Week is all about going to the shows to see new clothes and accessories for the upcoming season, but what makes my job even more fun and exciting is the opportunity to meet talented and stylish people. It's amusing to see these personalities in print, online or in broadcast media (TV, etc) but meeting them in flesh is different altogether.

Here are some of my favorite familiar faces who brought a smile to my face over the past week.

Bryanboy is blogging for us about his experiences with this insane thing called New York Fashion Week. Here, his take on Marchesa spring/summer 2011.

The gorgeous Georgina Chapman (who, btw looked ultra svelte in spite of giving birth a few weeks ago) presented her dramatic spring/summer 2011 Marchesa collection at the Chelsea Art Museum yesterday afternoon.

I always look forward to seeing her phenomenal creations fit for the red carpet. There are no ordinary dresses; the amount of handiwork and detail involved are extraordinary.

Georgina said she was inspired by Orientalist paintings.

Marchesa collaborated with renowned shoemaker Christian Louboutin for shoes.

One of our favorite bloggers, boy wonder and outrageous fashion presence, Bryan Boy, is blogging for us about his experiences with this insane thing called New York Fashion Week. Here, his take on Fashion's Night Out:

What did you do during this year's Fashion's Night Out?

I started my evening uptown at the beauty floor of Bergdorf Goodman. Me and my fellow judges, Hamish Bowles, Catherine Malandrino and Trish McEvoy co-judged a contest searching for the next great make-up artist. Apres-Bergdorf, I was hoping to drop by the Dolce & Gabbana boutique on Madison but the traffic was so bad I instructed my driver to head to Meatpacking District instead to meet my friend Rumi Neely of Fashion Toast.

From there, we visited Ports 1961 who showed earlier during the day. They used real, live models instead of mannequins on their window displays; one of them wore a $16,000 silk chiffon dress from their spring/summer 2011 collection. We also visited the very crowded Helmut Lang where party snapper Mark Hunter aka The Cobrasnake hung out. Our final pit stop was the Theory store where Miike Snow's Andrew Wyatt DJed. I also bought a stunning black silk tee.

Some may say it was the biggest street block party New York has seen in years but if you were to ask me, American Vogue's Fashion's Night Out was an amazing celebration of fun, frolics, and fashion!

  • Bryan Boy: Night Out with Kanon

If there was ever anyone that embodied the flair and fierce persona of fashion week, it's one of our favorite bloggers, Bryan Grey-Yambao or Bryan Boy. The blogging phenomenon has taken over the streets of New York (decked out in head-to-toe leopard Spring 2011 Givenchy, of course), running around the city with and meeting the who's-who of fashion (i.e. Terry Richardson, Scott Schuman, et al).

No fashion week is complete without the parties and Bryan let us tag along as he started his night with a little taste of Kanon. Check out his intense show and party schedule in our video above.

New York fashion week is upon us. That means no sleep, lots of drink, and some clothes thrown in the mix. It takes serious talent to make this week look fun. One guy possessing that kind of talent is Bryan Grey-Yambao, otherwise known as BryanBoy. Bryan’s made a name for himself as one of the most influential bloggers in the world. Hell, Marc Jacobs named a bag after him. This week, Bryan’s bringing all his (good) baggage to Kanon and guest blogging for us. Which means we have the most famous fashion blogger on our team. Which means we rule, humbly.
