One of our favorite parts about heading to Indio every year is the chance to catch up with some of our favorite FOKs. This year was no different. Not only did we get some quality time by the pool with Kristin Reiter and the cool kids over at Prism, we also did a few Kanon-balls with fashion blogger extraordinaire, Rumi Neely of Fashiontoast. Read below to get her take on everything from the iPhone cases you've got to get your hands on, to the killer cocktails (duh).

“My friends at Kanon Organic Vodka hosted a rad pool party and Sunday brunch in Indio which kept me entertained both days until it was time to head over to the festival. Handy! Saturday was the launch of my lover Kristin Reiter's Snow White iPhone case. I've been using mine for a couple of months now and it never ceases to impress both genders… we're talking an even mix of zombie-eyed awe and raging jealousy. Glad it's finally available on her site so I can at least point them in the right direction. The party was a good time and the sorta sleazy (in that good way) '70s theme and pool perimeter populated by really freaking sharp and pointy plants kept us on our toes. The next morning (or early afternoon heh) my boyfriend and I enjoyed the breakfast fare and cocktail bar for a couple of relaxing hours before making our way to Indio. Thanks for having us Kanon, always glad to fulfill my duties as a dedicated FOK. Or I just really like saying FOK...xxRumi”

Somehow between the chaos of livestreaming Bryanboy during fashion week, and following him from show to party to show to party and back again, we had an hour to kill with Bryan and our fashionable FOK Rumi Neely. Naturally, heading over to our friend Terry Richardson’s studio for an impromptu photoshoot seemed like a pretty good way to pass the time. No big deal.

We love Terry for many a reason– one being that he is cool with impromptu photoshoots, another being that he’s a fan of the double thumbs up (a great standard pose for party pics). But perhaps our favorite of all why-we-love-Terry-reasons is that the bi-focaled photog shares our passion for sustainability. You didn’t think he bought all those plaid flannels new, did you? Hell no. Those gems are straight from the second-hand store. And just like our vodka is produced with the lowest footprint possible (within a 3-mile radius to be exact), we like to think that Terry’s re-used flannels are environmentally friendly in their own way.

But let’s skip to the fun part. Click through the photos above to see the magic that unfolded when we got Rumi, Bryan and Terry together for an hour of fun.

When it comes down to it, there's a lot more to Fashion Week than just fashion. There's the reuniting of friends from various coasts and continents all in one place, the outburst of creative technological and social media campaigns that have found a fitting partner in the fashion community, and then of course there's the parties. This group of photos, however, is the sum of those parts (and then some) from the perspective of Fashiontoast's Rumi Neely. Enjoy!

We’ve admittedly spent an uncharacteristic amount of time this weekend resting after a whirlwind of a week jam-packed with fashion parties and shows to attend. The marathon that is New York Fashion Week is finally over folks, but despite all of the exhaustion that comes with it, we have to say, we already miss it just a little.

Perhaps our favorite part about last week was getting to know new FOK, Rumi Neely – the gorgeous face behind personal style blog fashiontoast. And when you get her and the ever-charming Bryanboy together with some Kanon, you’re looking at a guaranteed good time. In case you missed it, here’s a little photo recap of the last night we all spent together during NYFW. Here’s to hoping we’re all reunited soon.

Sunday night at the Bloglovin' Awards, I went in with zero expectations since I never win anything and just thought it would be fun to see some familiar faces and meet some bloggers I somehow hadn't managed to yet. I arrived with Colin promptly after the Thakoon show close by at the Plaza hotel and started milling around aimlessly, chatting with my friends from Revolve, Geri from Because I'm Addicted, the always adorable Roberts brothers, Phil Oh from Streetpeeper, etc...then jumped around madly when my fashion week cohorts Andrew Bevan from Teen Vogue and Bryanboy arrived. We took our seats and waited nervously for the winners to be announced...I was so surprised to win both for personal style and blogger of the year! I have the most amazing readers I could possibly hope for; thank you to every single person (apparently over 250,000 people??) who voted and to Mattias [Swenson] for organizing everything so brilliantly! Love you all. -Rumi
