    Having a host like Kristin Reiter basically guarantees a good party. She's easy to look at, beyond energetic, and she's just about the friendliest fashion girl we've ever met. Plus, she happens to have a slew of cool friends. But being the woman of the hour, we wanted to get her take on our pool party this past Saturday first-hand.

    Here's what Kristin had to say:

    "First weekend of the Indio music festival this year was AMAZING. I had an artist pass this year, so I got to see my favorite bands from stage right/left. But the best part of Coachella wasn't dancing with Usher backstage….nope. It was the Kanon x Kristinreiter.com pool party at the Noise Pop Oasis!!! My favorite DJ and friend Skeet Skeet played, I had a GIANT snowwhite iPhone mirror for people to take pics with and all my friends came and hung out in the pool. Yes, we were all in the pool dancing. Couldn't have been a better scene. Thank you Kanon friends for everything. I LOVE being a FOK and can't wait till next year.

    Kristin Reiter Launches New Site and Snow White iPhone Case

    After a shaky start to the weekend (rain and severe wind warning alerts have to be some kind of first for Palm Springs), the sun came out just in time for our two main weekend events.

    On Saturday, friends of Kanon gathered by the pool at the Noise Pop Oasis to fete FOK Kristin Reiter's new site launch and Snow White iPhone case. Between people Instagramming the kitschy 70s desert vibe of the property and taking iPhone self portraits with their new cases in hand, it was quite the technologically savvy event. But there was plenty of relaxation underway too--mango flavored cocktails and a selection of mineral pools on the premise made sure of that. And to top it all off, a constantly rotating group of DJs including Penguin Prison and Skeet Skeet were getting festival goers amped for the nighttime shows. Most importantly, Reiter, the event's host seemed to be having a blast floating on the
    pool's blow-up swan and dancing with friends all afternoon. It was the best antidote to the hyper speed energy at the festival.

    Last Minute Halloween Party Tips from Bleach Black's Kristin Reiter

     

    Getting ready last minute for a Halloween party? We've all done it before. Luckily this year, we have the duo behind blog Bleach Black on our side, and they're helping us get into proper theme for tomorrow night's big Tim Burton bash at LACMA in Los Angeles. The two most important takeaways from one half of the duo, Kristin Reiter's, Halloween preparation routine?

    First, assess your closet to see what gems you already have hiding amongst the racks (after all, sustainability is all about reusing). And step two? Call all your friends and see what you can steal from them.
