This weekend is full of Halloween activites for us, from Los Angeles’ Tim Burton party at the LACMA to celebrating with LoveCat magazine in New York. We can’t think of anything better than a weekend full of costumes, cocktails, and copious amounts of spooky fun. We know we’re not alone when it comes to a good time, so we asked a few of our favorite FOKs to give us the scoop on their Halloween plans...and the memories from the holiday that still haunt them to this day. From amazing costumes past and present to childhood traditions, read on to see what gets them in the spirit.

1. Which places in LA throw the best Halloween parties?
Anywhere in West Hollywood, but I feel like that applies to all fun holiday celebration situations. But no matter where you are geographically, Halloween is always best spent in costume with good friends and strong drinks.
2. What do you plan on dressing up as this year?
Freddie Mercury, circa 1986. I feel like I've been waiting a lifetime to dress up as Freddie! I've been holding out for the right yellow jacket.
3. Do you have any embarrassing Halloween costumes from the past?
If your costume is not embarrassing, then it's no good! I think my favorite one from the past is between Keith Richards and Michael Jackson; it's really fun to dress up as a boy.

1. What's the craziest Halloween costume you've seen someone pull off?
The craziest Halloween costume I've ever seen someone pull off is when my friends went as JFK & Jackie O after the shooting and she was splattered in his blood.
2. What will you be going as this year?
I'm going as Anna Nicole Smith this year.
3. Complete this sentence: No Halloween party is complete without _______.
No Halloween party is complete without the Monster Mash!
Scott Lipps

1. What's your favorite aspect of Halloween?
I guess everyone likes to escape to somewhere else and potentially be anonymous or even someone else for a night. It’s fun and we need to bring fun and good times back to places like NY and LA. Where else could you dress like The Hulk or Pee Wee Herman and get away with it? Of course coming up with the outfit is always the hard part...
2. What's your Halloween go-to? Practical and wearable, or completely outrageous?
I usually do wearable, but I do like a sense of humor in there too – big fan of funny and I always veer towards the funnier costumes if possible.
3. Can you recall the craziest Halloween party you've ever been to in NYC?
I've had a few Halloween parties and we are doing another one this year – myself, Nur, and Rassi from Milk with Mark Ronson spinning at the Dream Hotel Monday, so let's hope this year is the one to top!

1. What's the best costume you've ever seen someone else pull off?
A friend of mine went with different types of death injuries like a bullet in his head and so on. He was "The Dead Kennedys." Pretty bleak, I know. And a little inappropriate. But pretty clever.
2. If you could do a duo costume with someone, what would it be?
I want to go as Woody and Jessie from Toy Story 2!
3. What was your favorite Halloween candy growing up?
I always hope to get those mini Twix and Kit Kat bars. Does that count as Halloween candy?
Jace Lipstein

1 . Did your family have any Halloween traditions growing up?
If dressing up and eating a bunch of candy counts, then yes. If you are talking about me, my fondest tradition is finding someone's doorstep that leaves a tray of candy out and taking it all. I was such a menace when I was younger.
2. If you could dress up as any famous face in fashion, who would it be?
Lapo Elkann
Pamela Love

1. Where will we find you on Halloween this year?
At my friend Sophie's Halloween party in Brooklyn!
2. What are your Halloween must-dos each year?
You have to carve a pumpkin.
3. Zombies, ghosts or vampires?
Zombies.
Jenna Elizabeth
1. What was your favorite childhood costume?
I was Elliot from E.T. - I had the red sweatshirt, and a giant moon suspended behind my back complete with handlebars and a basket with E.T. popping out. Come to think of it, that was a great costume; I should be that again.
2. Favorite Halloween treat?
Caramel apples, hands down.
3. Can you recall your most memorable Halloween?
A couple of years ago, I went to the Playboy mansion for Halloween, which was like going to a human zoo. The crowning moment was a tie between seeing Principal Belding (Saved By the Bell) hitting on my friend, and being backstage with Wu Tang Clan.
Kate Foley

1. What's the best Halloween costume you've ever bought? Best one you ever made?
I've never bought a costume in my life; being English, Halloween isn't such a big deal...but the best I ever made so far is Sanka from Cool Runnings which included dreading my whole head, which took weeks to get out. Last year I was Little Red Riding Hood covered in blood and this year I'll be Tupac with all his tattoos. I like to go for the unexpected.
2. If you could carve anything on a pumpkin this year, what would you pick?
Probably something really amazing and artsy like a Josef Frank print. Sadly I can't even carve a face, so it's out of the question I guess.
3. Favorite Halloween candy?
I actually hate candy, so no favorite! I'm a pretty cheap date to take trick or treating!
Connie Wang

1. If the sky was the limit, what would be your dream costume?
I'd love to show up to Heidi Klum and Seal's annual Halloween party, with me dressed as Heidi and my companion as Seal. Even better, to dress up as Heidi and Seal in the costume that they're wearing that year for Halloween.
2. What's your favorite Halloween memory to date?
Oh--so many! In particular, I dressed up as a Freudian Slip in high school, complete with a dress-code-appropriate silk nightie, a bald wig, giant beard, and round spectacles. The whole day, people kept asking why I was Mr. Miyagi in drag.
3. Favorite scary movie of all time?
To give you an idea of how much scary movies scare me, I still can't watch Disney films without sweating. My favorite scary movies are the ones I don't have to watch.
