Being stationed at Milk Studios all week, you'd think we'd know everything about fashion by now. Well, you'd be wrong. That's where Jace Lipstein of Grungy Gentleman comes in. We asked the men's style blogger if we could be his wingmen for some key menswear shows this season, and luckily for us he obliged. We got to tag along to shows like our own FOK, Jeremy Scott's as well as those of Yigal Azrouel and Gant by Michael Bastian. From front row seats to a pitstop at Chelsea Piers and some mingling to boot, we definitely picked up a tip or two from the Grungy Gentleman himself. Namely? That fashion and vodka make a pretty great pairing.

Check out Jace's epic day of shows and commentary in the photos above.

  • Chatting with Designer Elie Tahari

Life for us is all about the ride, and we sure as heck have met some interesting people along the way. One such recent encounter? Designer Elie Tahari, who with the help of blogger Erica Domesek of PS I Made This, showed us the true meaning of DIY (which we sometimes like to adapt to 'drink it yourself' – can you blame us?). Just as the designer launched his e-commerce this month, we sat down to chat with Mr. Tahari about his designs and recent travel plans – and we're keen to take advice on everything he has to say about that.

Kanon Vodka: Who do you personally see as the Elie Tahari woman?

Elie Tahari: The Elie Tahari woman embodies the perfect blend of sophistication, confidence and class. She is timelessly elegant and understated, and her style is an accurate reflection of that.

KV: You recently launched e-commerce on your own site. What is most exciting to you about the brand's new developments?

ET: There are so many things to be excited about within the launch of our e-commerce store, but perhaps the most exciting is the opportunity to reach new customers who might not otherwise have had the chance to shop at one of our boutiques. On our online store, visitors will be able to share their favorite items and purchases with their friends using our social tools, as well as quickly browse trends, sizes and colors. It’s the future of shopping.

  • 10 Days Left To Enter Our Midsummer Contest!

    Midsummer_contest

In case you haven’t noticed, we’re feeling generous this month. Maybe it’s because we’re in a perma-great mood post-Midsummer (seriously, best time ever)–or it could just be the general feeling of zen our organic goodness gives us. When we say generous, we're talking about the amazing prizes we're giving away in our on-going Facebook contest. Seriously, we can't even believe how good they are. The best part is, we’re making it so easy, that you could feasibly multi-task over happy hour or work and still enter.

To enter, head over to our Facebook page HERE and “like” us. On our “Win Midsummer“ tab you’ll see we’ve teamed up with a few of our favorite bloggers like Honestly WTF , Because I’m Addicted, The Glamourai, TV Carnage and Diana Miller of I Listen to Everything —and asked them what Midsummer means to them. Choose your favorite tradition from our blogger list, and share it with a few friends to be entered to win. The more you share your pick, the more your chances of winning increase. This is where it comes in handy to have a bevy of high school friends you don’t talk to anymore.

What are the prizes you ask? Oh, you know, just some amazing jewelry from FOK Pamela Love, an Elie Tahari dress, an iPad…should we continue or have we convinced you enough? Head on over to Facebook and join in on the fun. It’s Monday, after all, and if anything is keeping us going it’s the thought of happy hour and winning some unbelievable prizes. Contest ends July 20th so you have a week and a half to get your clicking and sharing on. Good luck!

What was supposed to be a 3-day Hamptons extravaganza was quickly shortened into a day-long adventure once we saw the weather forecast for the weekend. Wet and cold. Everything we like our cocktails to be–NOT our summer weather. We were thankful to have plans with Elie Tahari and Erica Domesek (of PS I Made This) on Saturday afternoon, which provided a welcome respite from the torrential downpours that made our Jitney ride resemble more of an entrance into the Twilight Zone. We're no DIY experts, but we have to say, after a few of our Picnic and Eastside cocktails (which by the way might be two of the best Kanon cocktails we've crafted yet), we were stringing beads onto ribbon like pros. It didn't hurt that Domesek's intern offered to be our "designated DIYer." Isn't it nice to know that someone has your back when you're a few cocktails deep?

Check out all the pictures above from our crafternoon taken by Altamira's Craig Arend, and definitely try pairing your next DIY session with one of our Kanon cocktails. It's amazing how many creative new ideas a couple of sips of vodka can inspire.

PS- Elie Tahari's e-commerce site is on its way and will be launching in August, so be sure to check out our friends over there when it launches!
