This week has been quite a whirlwind, and while we've been too busy crafting Fashion Week inspired cocktails to make it to many of the shows, we feel lucky that we were able to experience it all on our Friends of Kanon NYFW Instagram Viewer. With bloggers like Song of Style, Facehunter, and From Me To You giving us their perspectives on the week through pictures, we felt like we were front row at every show without even having to leave our computers. In case you missed it, check out our Instagram Viewer HERE for an all-access recap and click through the slideshow above to see our favorite snaps of the week.

  • Kanon FOK Resolutions for 2012

    Glamorai

There's something about starting off a new year with goals. We've got some pretty awesome plans for 2012, but we're always looking for a little inspiration. We've asked a few of our fave FOKs to give us the DL on their resolutions for 2012. Our personal fave: not making out in public. Check them out and enter 2012 the right way (cocktail in hand).

Kelly Framel of The Glamourai (above)

"In 2012 I resolve to say 'no' to fringed suede, lug-soled boots, and sunglasses bigger than the palm of my hand. I will say 'yes' to fine jewelry, beautiful shoes, and pretty party dresses!"

Amanda Del Duca of Capture Fashion

    Amanda

"In 2012, I want to read non-fashion news, take more photos and start mentally preparing to quit smoking."

    Jace Lipstein of Grungy Gentleman

    Jace

    “1. To wear less bracelets.
     2. To teach some NFL coaches (that will remain nameless) how to dress.
     3. To bring a Super Soaker to a promoted dinner and start nailing people.”

Even with all of the new gorgeous and fashionable faces we spotted at Milk Studios and at our Kanon bar on the 8th floor last night, it’s always comforting to see familiar FOKs. And what's better than when we have a gaggle of them in one place? Last night Milk hosted Pamela Love’s Spring 2012 collection and naturally we had to pop in to congratulate the jewelry-designing FOK. We invited Kelly Framel, otherwise known as The Glamourai, to be our wing-woman for the night and get her perspective on the Western-inspired collection. Here’s Kelly’s take and photos from the collection. FOKs supporting FOKs? Our work here is done.

Check out what Kelly had to say:

Saturday night, I stopped by Milk Studios to check out Pamela Love's Spring 2012 collection. A band jammed in one corner, while a bevy of models perched on Persian rug piles, decked in dune-colored costumes topped with tooled-leather details – and lots and lots of jewelry. Indeed, it was the jewelry that this packed house (and Anna Wintour!) had come out to see. Featuring turquoise, malachite, and lapis stone insets, the harem of hardware on hand looked as if it had been collected over several decades by an especially adventurous aesthete – which is why each new piece promises to become a truly-treasured talisman.

When you live in a city as big as NYC, it can be hard to keep track of your friends, or in our case, our FOKs. And when it comes to a night like Fashion’s Night Out, it can be pretty near impossible with swarms of well-dressed people taking over the streets of nearly every neighborhood in Manhattan. So we’re making it easy for you and rounding up what some of our favorite FOKs are doing so you can best navigate through the city streets. Even better? We’re also letting you know where we’ll be hanging out too, so stop by, have a Kanon cocktail, and cheers to FNO!

If we told you we’ve stopped talking about Midsummer, we’d be lying. Like kids after their first trip to Disneyland, we can’t help but point out every amazing detail or delicious memory we accrued. Truthfully, it was the most fun we’ve had in a long time (and that is saying A LOT), and we feel super lucky to have spent Friday with an abundance of tasty cocktails, floral crowns, rocking tunes and some of our favorite people.

Even more lucky? We had the duo from HELLO there to art direct and Jeremy Liebman there photographing our gorgeous guests– seriously, take a look at these portraits and you’ll see what we mean. Here’s a look at a few FOKs and folks who joined us at The Yard at the Soho Grand Hotel for Midsummer last week. If you haven't noticed, we're having a hard time admitting that the party's over.
