Music is our middle name these days, and now that the music festival CMJ is in full swing in New York, there's definitely no rest for the weary for this vodka. Among our stops this week? A mixer for the Windish Agency at the penthouse of the Mondrian Soho. Think lots of Converse and Kanon cocktails — it’s our new favorite combination, albeit a strikingly different one from Fashion Week’s 4-inch minimum. We also stopped by the after-party for Pearl Jam where our Midsummer and Bitter Red cocktails kept the party going at Mr. H downstairs.

Every now and then, you come across a moment that feels quintessentially city-perfect. And as of last night, we think we've officially found out what it means to have a very “LA night." But when you spend the evening rubbing elbows with the likes of gorgeous actress Olivia Wilde, in celebration of her August cover for NYLON Magazine’s denim issue, that feeling just seems to come with the territory.

Now, we’ve hung out with NYLON at the Mondrian in New York, but being at their LA outpost had us, dare we say, a little starstruck–which was in no small part thanks to a gorgeous crowd made up of actors and celebrities like Samantha Ronson, the Hilton sisters, Patrick Fugit, and one of our very own FOKs, designer Jeremy Scott. Between the delicious menu, lively ambiance, air kisses, and refreshing Kanon cocktails, last night is one that will be difficult to top.

Don’t take our word for it though–check out the Polaroids from the night (taken by FOK Laura Taylor!)–and get yourself into a California state of mind.

Tuesday nights really don't get much better than last night's Nylon Magazine cover party at the Mondrian Hotel for Florence Welch. We've clocked significant time at Sam Talbot's Imperial No. 9 and the hotel's hidden club Mister H, but we got to cover new Mondrian ground at last night's private dinner for Flo (yes, we're on a nickname basis): the Penthouse. And it more than exceeded our expectations. Besides the insane view overlooking all of Manhattan, and the gorgeous crowd that showed face, impromptu fireworks started going off near the Brooklyn Bridge circa 10 PM– we're going to go ahead and pretend that that was all part of the plan. Between failed attempts to time our fireworks photos properly (juggling a cocktail and iPhone takes practice, people), we caught FOK Harley Viera Newton and our Midsummer hosts for Friday, The Misshapes, along with Shenae Grimes and Kellan Lutz enjoying some Kanon cocktails. We couldn't have been happier.

By the time we got down to Mister H, the line was rivaling Shake Shack's and all of our specialty cocktails had run out– which we're calling a sign of a successful party. Big thanks to Nylon Magazine and Florence Welch for including us in a great event. All in all, it was a perfect New York City summer night.
