One of our main Fashion Week goals each season is to bring non Fashion Week goers insider access--hence this year's NYFW Instagram Viewer, the tons of cocktail recipes we post from our events, and party photos up the wazoo. Now we bring you this. Incredible designer Phillip Lim also happens to be a FOK (that's friend of Kanon for any of you newcomers)--so naturally there are perks to this relationship. Like getting hold of his exclusive track list from his A/W 2012 runway show. Close your eyes, take a listen to the tracklist below, and imagine you're sitting front row next to Anna Wintour. You know what they say about the power of visualization.

    Cheers!

Last night marked a lot of lasts for us. The last party of Fashion Week. The last specialty Kanon cocktail we'll be creating for the week's festivities. The last time we'll be seeing Jared Leto until next September...and all in honor of the Last Magazine's latest issue.

But being the spontaneous folks that we are, there were also a lot of firsts involved. Like our first time drinking green pepper flavored cocktails, and our first time trying out awesome sunnies brand Prism (every dinner guest was gifted their own sweet pair). And of course, there were some constants handed down from last year's amazing party with the magazine–the top-notch crowd for one. The list of notables in attendance is way too overwhelming to go through here, but just to give you a taste, we'll mention that Terry Richardson, Richard Chai, Alexandra Richards, Brad Goreski, Hanne Gaby Odiele, Jenne Lombardo, Johan Lindeberg, Lindsay Wixson, Phillip Lim and Chelsea Leyland were all in attendance. And that isn't even a fraction of the cool kids who showed up ready to dance the night away to beats from Kim Foxman of Hercules and Love Affair. It was a pretty sweet party, we have to say. Check out all the photos from the night above and see for yourself.

Fashion Week is rolling along, and though we've been to a ton of soirees this season, we're pretty confident that our party at Red Egg Monday night in celebration of Phillip Lim's latest collection should be filed under the "best ever" category. The fashion folk danced the night away thanks to a great lineup of tunes played by FOK, DJ Mia Moretti. Never ones to miss an opportunity to create a delicious cocktail, we crafted two aptly named libations--the 3.1 and the Femme Fatale. The man of the night (and one of our fave FOKs) Mr. Phillip Lim came to hang out, and, as expected, had a bevy of ladies lined up for a chance to get their photo with the designer. Check out our night in pictures to see how the Lim crowd got down.

Head on over to our Facebook page to see the rest of the pictures from the night.

As 2011 comes to a close, we're taking this Friday afternoon to reflect on how truly amazing this past year has been. Just a couple of years ago, we were a new brand on the U.S. turf and no one but the Swedes could differentiate between what a Kanon Vodka and a Canon camera was. Fast forward to, well, now – and we're hopeful that you've at least heard our name, or better yet tasted our smooth flavor. What a journey it's been. If there's one resolution we have for the new year, it's this: that you (whomever and wherever you may be) will get to enjoy Kanon this year. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. Before we officially ring in 2012 with a Twinkle cocktail in hand, take a journey back with us through our top 10 memories of 2011.

    1. We Hosted the First Blogger Livestream
For the AW 2011 Fashion Week season, we were determined to top ourselves yet again, and that we did. To prove that we're not only knowledgeable about vodka (we're tech savvy too!) we hosted the first ever blogger livestream on Kanonvodka.com with the one and only Bryanboy. From shows to fashion parties to hotel rooms and beyond, we followed the outspoken blogger through it all and let you ask him questions along the way. Take a look back to relive some of the highlights.

    2. We Starred In a Music Video
If you follow Swedish songstress Lykke Li, you probably remember the release of her "Sadness Is a Blessing" video back in April of this year. But what you might not remember is that the vodka she was downing shots of in between dance moves? Yeah, that was us. Us Swedes stick together through sadness AND happiness.

    3. We Brought Midsummer Across the Atlantic
Until this past year, most of you would probably assume that the term "Midsummer" was referring to the mid-point of the summer season – not so. In actuality, it's our favorite Swedish holiday, and we were thrilled to bring the festivities to the States this year. With parties in both New York and LA, we DIYed floral crowns, danced around the maypole, and clinked cocktail glasses with friends well into the night. A success indeed.

Last night, our Fashion's Night Out festivities continued at Phillip Lim's New York Flagship store, where the line to party snaked out the door and well down Mercer Street. As per usual, New York's sartorial set was hounding for some Kanon cocktails, and boy did we deliver. The lab coat clad team of Apotheke mixologists crafted a series of it girl-inspired cocktails that were pretty freaking delicious if we do say so ourselves. Garance Doré disciples were treated to a refreshing rosemary and blood orange juice concoction aptly named the Garance on the Rocks, while those looking to get their groove on opted for The Dance, a spin off the vodka fizz with Jasmine tea and a ginger twist. Others got down with a Dirty Dianna, a spicy sampling of Kanon and Pomegranate Black Pepper Prometheus Springs enhanced by fresh strawberry, balsamic vinegar, and orange essence named for fashionista Dianna Lundt. Rounding out the drink menu was the Muñoz Magic, an aloe vera and Vitacoco cocktail for Argentine stylist Marina Muñoz, and the Must-a-parti, model-turned-blogger Hanneli Mustaparta's muddled fruit and marjoram mixture fit for the party gods.

All in all, a perfect fête combining two of our favorite things: fashionable friends and Kanon cocktails. Check out our favorite photos from the night.

Happy Midsummer! It seems like only yesterday that we had triple and double digit days as our countdown to Midsummer. Well, we're happy to say that those times have come and gone. It's officially the best day of the year, in our humble opinions. But because we love Midsummer so much, we’re not limiting the fun to today. What kind of a responsible vodka would we be if we didn’t guarantee a continued good time? That's why we're holding a contest so major, that we wish we could enter to win--and we're going to be running it for a whole month.

Here’s what you have to do. First, head over to our Facebook page and “like” us. Midsummer is all about tradition, so we asked some of our favorite bloggers--including Honestly WTF, Because I’m Addicted, The Glamourai, TV Carnage and Diana Miller of I Listen to Everything--what Midsummer means to them. Simply choose your favorite tradition from our bloggers, and you’ll be entered to win. The trick is, if you share your pick, your chances of winning will increase. What would a contest be without a little strategy? We’ve also teamed up with an amazing bunch of folks to bring you equally amazing prizes. Think jewelry from FOK Pamela Love, a slick unisex bag from our Coachella co-hort Phillip Lim--and those are just two of six. You'll want to check out the rest over here. In fact, we might befriend you on the side so we can ask to borrow them.

So, head over to Facebook and enter.

Our idea of cocktail attire is "on the rocks" or "with a twist," so we usually turn to our fashionable FOKs when we need style advice. Over Coachella weekend, that FOK happened to be designer Phillip Lim, whose pool party featuring spiked Kanon snow cones was one of the weekend highlights. As you can see from the photos here, we picked up a tip or two from stylish party-goers like Alexa Chung and Garance Doré as well. But perhaps being surrounded by so many lovely faces this past weekend has made us a bit greedy, so we did what anyone would do–we hit Mr. Lim up for more about his Coachella experience. For the rest of the pictures from the party, click on over to our Facebook page.

Was this your first time making the trek to Indio? How did the weekend live up to expectations?
No expectations, every moment felt like the first moment. Fun at first sight.

Your pool party really got us in the mood for summer. What's on your summer playlist?
The Hurts, Concretes, Dr. Dre, The National.

Perhaps even worse than saying goodbye to Coachella for another year was making the trek back from hot-as-hell Indio to New York weather…on a Monday. But while we've found ourselves in a bit of a depressed stupor today (no pools, no promises of Kanye West), a ray of light shone down on our day as the photos from our pool party with Phillip Lim landed in our inbox.

It already seems so long ago, but just this Saturday we celebrated the New York fashion scene's weekend on the West Coast with Phillip Lim at a pretty epic house in the desert overlooking all of Palm Springs. There were spiked Kanon snow cones for the drinking– er, crunching– amazing Mexican food for the eating and some summer-inspired tunes for the listening (yes, that would include the Beach Boys) played by DJs Binki Shapiro, Alexa Chung and Myles Hendrik.

Also in attendance sipping Kanon and sun bathing alongside us? A few of our favorite FOKs Rumi Neely, Bronques and Harley Viera Newton, fellow Swede Elin Kling, street style extraordinaire Garance Doré and the man of the hour, of course– Phillip Lim (who somehow elusively dodged our lens). You'd never know it was 100 degrees plus with the amount of good vibes everyone was soaking up. Luckily, Laura Taylor, our go-to girl for Coachella snaps was on deck with a Polaroid camera in hand.
