THERE’S A LOT TO SAY ABOUT WHAT MAKES KANON A UNIQUE BRAND OF VODKA BUT NONE MORE SO THAN OUR COMMITMENT TO BEING 100% ORGANIC AND LOCAL.
To start, our entire production process, from wheat to bottle, is done within a one hundred-mile radius. Not only do we exclusively use water that comes straight from our own well, Kanon’s main ingredient is organic wheat sourced directly from four local farmers who never use synthetic fertilizers or pesticides, distilled with yeast and starch that are naturally occurring and never spurred along by synthetic processes of GMOs. Each bottle of Kanon contains only the best results of our distillation process which we call the heart. What’s then left over—the parts that other vodka brands keep distilling—we send out to biogas stations to be reused in public transportation and biogas-fueled cars. In fact, every single piece of refuse we create is reused or recycled. Even our bottles are made from at least 60% recycled glass. Not only that, but our entire distillery is run on electricity sourced from wind and water power and the steam produced from the fermentation process of our organic wheat is channeled to produce the heat used in our offices and conference rooms. It doesn’t get much greener than that.
